TOUR SCHEDULE
Start the tour with sit down at a coffee shop tucked away in a century-old house to observe the typical morning culture of Hanoians before work. Chat with your guide over a cup of special egg coffee, a Hanoian specialty, and gain an insight into daily Hanoi life. Then drive to the historic Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum for a view from outside (closed Mondays and Fridays and all mornings), as well as his private residence from 1954 until 1969. The wooden ethnic minority style house, which was built on stilts, is surrounded by lovely peaceful gardens. In the same complex is One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049, the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Wind your way afterwards to the Temple of Literature, the first University for the sons of mandarins, for an overview about Hanoian culture and appreciation for ancient Vietnamese architecture.
