TOUR SCHEDULE
Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and take you to visit Temple of Literature, the first University for the sons of mandarins, for an overview about Hanoian culture and appreciation for ancient Vietnamese architecture. Then, you will visit one of your choices of the Ethnology, Army or Vietnamese Women’s Museums. Time only allows for one to be visited so please decide which one you would most like to see. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before driving to the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum for a view from outside (closed Mondays and Fridays and all mornings) with visits to the “Stilt House of Ho Chi Minh” (closed on Mondays and Fridays) to see his life style as well as the beauty of the gardens; the masterful architecture of the One-Pillar Pagoda, so called as the whole Pagoda actually do stand on only one Pillar. Drive back to central Hanoi for a walking tour through the Old Quarter to enjoy the bustling local life. Then cap off the day with a show at the water puppet theatre - a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes of rural life and episodes of national history.
